In Spring of 2010 the Metro DC ELCA Synod passed a Care of Creation Resolution, in which we, as followers of Jesus, renewed our commitment to the care and renewal of God’s creation.
Through sharing experiences, dreams, and information, we hope to empower, inspire, and support congregations in their efforts of becoming better stewards of the earth.
The Creation Care Team is everyone! We are all involved in this endeavor. Pastor Sarah Scherschligt, Pastor Christine Stephan, David Davis, and Dianne Russel are the beginnings of the Synodical Creation Care Team and are happy to assist any congregation in beginning their own Creation Care Team.
